Drug Uses
Anafranil is indicated for treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It can also be used for other situations as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Use Anafranil as directed by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Anafranil with food intake. It can take 2 - 3 weeks before you notice the effect of Anafranil. Continue taking Anafranil even if you feel well.
Additional Information
Anafranil may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Anafranil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Anafranil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor. Anafranil should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Do not take less or more or take it more often than ordered by your doctor.
