Drug Uses
Anafranil is indicated for treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It may also be used for other situations as recommended by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Anafranil as ordered by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Anafranil with a meal. It may take two - three weeks before you feel the effect of Anafranil. Continue taking Anafranil even if you feel well.
More Information
Anafranil can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Anafranil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Anafranil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your physician. Anafranil should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
